Looking east from Cape Wrath, the most extreme north-west point on the UK mainland. This is a wild and uninhabited place used by the Ministry of Defence as a bombardment range - also open to intrepid tourists on non-firing days. I would highly recommend this destination to anyone doing a lengthy tour of Scotland. However, this is not a destination for those traveling on a tight schedule, as the only access to Cape Wrath is via an irregular and mechanically unreliable ferry and minibus service.
