Cheryl and I started driving the forest roads in the burn as soon as they were opened to the public. This gallery is a record of both the destruction and the recovery in progress.

We enter the burn area from the north side about 13 miles south of Bailey, Colorado. This is the Buffalo Ranch. It is shown on the map as the first "white" area south of Wellington Lake.
