DAY TWO...

We were out of the hotel well before sunrise and off to Hershey on Interstate 80. This way we could get the best view to the east for sunrise.

Wild Life Road was totally dark when we turned on to it. Large numbers of whitetailed deer were heading back to the thickets along the river. We had many grey ghosts hopping the fences at the edges of our headlight beams.

We would stop and roll down the windows (and turn up the heater - it was in the low 40's) and listen to the din of the cranes already in the fields. This photo was taken just after the first glimmer of sunrise gave up enough light to take pictures.
